Rollins got into the ring and gloated about his plan coming together perfectly and him becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Rollins said he solidified himself as the new face of the WWE. Rollins plugged his appearance on the Today Show and talked about the duties of being the champion and how he walked into the building on Monday to find out Brock Lesnar was demanding his rematch. He claimed to be too jet lagged for the match, and fans deserved a fighting champion, but Monday wasn’t the night. Rollins claimed if Lesnar wouldn’t have gone insane, he could have had his rematch on tonight’s episode of Smackdown. Rollins was interrupted by Randy Orton in the middle of saying Lesnar got what he deserved.

Orton accused Rollins of quickly forgetting what happened between them, but he remembered everything. Cena said the US doesn’t suck, and that he was proud of his US Championship. Cena then said that the Statue of Liberty says give me your weary and your tired, and Cena wants to take the same approach to the US Title. He wants to take on all comers, even those who are outcasts or who the authority thinks are B+ Players. Rusev interrupted and called what happened at WrestleMania a travesty.

Rusev looked at Lana and said he didn’t lose at WrestleMania. He said he was still the US Champion and a Russian Tank. He called Cena a coward, just like the crowd, and then spoke angrily in Russian presumably. He said this is Rusev’s domain, his country, and his world. In Rusev’s world, little people like Cena get opportunities to surrender what is his or be crushed at Extreme Rules. Cena ran his mouth about Rusev getting his butt whipped at WrestleMania, and Rusev walked to ringside and waved his flag. He called for the large Russian Flag to drop from above the ring, but after several attempts it didn’t happen. Cena then called for his own flag, and the Stars and Stripes dropped from the rig.
