WWE SmackDown Report – Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt

We begin this week’s show with a look back at the ‘Eulogy’ of Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns standing up for his former Shield partner against Seth Rollins and Kane. We then see Roman’s match against Kane and Seth Rollins and the aftermath.

We are in Ontario, California and your announcers are Tom ‘The Tim Russert of Smackdown’ Phillips, John ‘The New Patriot’ Layfield, and Michael ‘BOLA’ Cole.

Match Number One: Roman Reigns versus Bray Wyatt (with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan)

They lock up and Wyatt with punches. Reigns sends Wyatt into the corner and he punches Wyatt in the corner but Wyatt gets out of the corner and he pulls Reigns off the turnbuckles. Wyatt with an Irish whip but Reigns with a clothesline out of the corner. Wyatt with punches and then he sends Reigns to the floor. Reigns gets back on the apron and he punches Wyatt, but Wyatt with a boot as Reigns gets back into the ring.

Wyatt with a running shoulder tackle that knocks Reigns off the apron and to the floor. Wyatt with a clothesline on the floor. Wyatt with a boot to the head and he sends Reigns back into the ring. Wyatt gets a near fall. Wyatt with elbows and punches to Reigns before applying a rear chin lock. Reigns gets back to his feet and he punches Wyatt, but Wyatt with punches and knees.

Reigns sends Wyatt to the mat and then he punches Wyatt. Reigns with a flying clothesline but he runs into a boot. Wyatt runs into a back elbow and Reigns gets Wyatt up but Wyatt with elbows followed by a flying body block and a back senton for a near fall. Wyatt goes to the turnbuckles but Reigns stops him and Reigns with a Samoan drop and he gets a near fall. Reigns with a clothesline in the corner followed by a punch and Wyatt rolls onto the bottom rope.

Reigns goes to the floor for the Juggernaut drop kick but he has to avoid Harper before hitting the drop kick on Wyatt. Reigns punches Harper and Rowan hits Reigns from behind and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Roman Reigns (by disqualification)

After the match, Harper and Rowan work over Reigns on the floor and then they send Reigns into the ring. Wyatt picks up Reigns while Big Show and Mark Henry make their way to the ring. Reigns recovers and sends Wyatt to the floor. Show and Henry work over Rowan and Harper. Rowan is sent into the ring and Reigns with a Superman punch to Rowan. Henry and Show join Reigns in the ring.

Seth Rollins and Rob Van Dam walk in the back as we go to commercial.

We are back and the previously announced tag team main event for tonight is now a six man tag match with Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt added to the match.

Match Number Two: Rob Van Dam versus Seth Rollins

Rollins with kicks to Van Dam as he shows the frustration over his loss on Tuesday night. Rollins punches and kicks Van Dam. Rollins with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow and Van Dam with a springboard thrust kick. Van Dam flips over Rollins but Rollins with a back heel kick and a drop kick. Rollins with a slam and he gets a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Rollins with an Irish whip followed by a running forearm into the corner and he does the Van Dam thumbs. Rollins with a reverse chin lock. Van Dam gets back to his feet and Rollins with an elbow. Van Dam misses the kick in the corner but he does not miss the second time. Van Dam with clotheslines followed by a thrust kick. Van Dam misses Rolling Thunder and Rollins misses Black Out.

Van Dam with a drop kick to Rollins and Rob goes up top but he misses the Five Star Frog Splash when Rollins moves. Rollins with an enzuigiri for a near fall. Rollins goes up top but Van Dam with a kick to crotch Rollins. Van Dam climbs the turnbuckles and he goes for a superplex. Rollins blocks the superplex and Rollins rakes the eye and Rollins with a sunset flip buckle bomb. Rollins with another buckle bomb followed by Black Out for the three count.

Winner: Seth Rollins

We take a look at the Bella Family Feud and Jerry Lawler’s attempt to be the peacemaker.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Emma versus Paige in a Non Title Match

Emma marches and then she starts to dance but Paige knocks Emma to the mat and Paige skips around Emma. Emma with a rollup for a near fall. Paige kicks Emma followed by an Irish whip. Emma with a boot and then Paige pulls Emma into the ring from the apron but Emma with a kick to the head.

Emma goes up top and Paige pulls her off the turnbuckles. Paige applies the PTO and Emma taps out.

Winner: Paige

After the match, AJ Lee’s music plays and she skips to the ring with a present for Paige.

AJ says that it isn’t Valentine’s Day, but every day is a special occasion when you show your friends how much you admire them and love them. AJ offers some chocolates to Paige. AJ wants to know what is wrong. AJ reminds Paige that she said she was her best friend and she loved her. AJ says that this is for Paige.

Paige is hesitant to accept the gift so AJ tells her to eat one. Paige takes one of the chocolates and she takes a bite but she decides to spit it out in the box.

Paige leaves the ring and skips to the back.

AJ eats a chocolate and Paige has a confused look on her face.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Lana is in the ring with Rusev. She says to look at all of the men in the audience. The Russian male follows the great example of Vladimir Putin. They are fit. They are virile. They possess great stamina. Lana tells everyone to Shut Tup with their USA chants.

Jack Swagger’s music interrupts Lana and it is time for our next match.

Match Number Four: Jack Swagger versus Rusev (with Lana) in a Submission Match

Rusev limps around the ring before Swagger goes for the injured ankle but Rusev gets away. Swagger with a waist lock but Swagger cannot take him down due to his injured ribs. Rusev with a kick to the ribs. Swagger blocks a kick with the left leg and Rusev retreats to the corner. Rusev charges at Swagger but Jack moves and Swagger with a belly-to-belly. Rusev rolls away when Swagger goes for the Swagger Bomb.

Rusev tries to get out of the ring and Swagger with an ankle lock. They go to the floor and Swagger is sent into the ringside barrier a few times as Rusev continues to work on the ribs. We go to commercial.

We are back and Swagger with an elbow but Rusev with a flapjack. Rusev with a splash to the back against the ropes and Swagger falls to the floor. Rusev hobbles to Swagger and Rusev with punches and then he goes for a kick but Swagger blocks it and Swagger applies the ankle lock on the injured leg. Rusev crawls into the ring while Swagger is on the floor.

Swagger with a clothesline and running knee into the corner. Swagger tries for an Irish whip but Rusev’s ankle gives out. Swagger puts Rusev’s leg in the ropes and Swagger kicks the leg. Swagger with a boot to Rusev and Swagger goes for the Swagger Bomb and he connects but Swagger is hurt due to the injured ribs.

Rusev takes Swagger down and he goes for the ankle lock but Swagger rolls through and reverses the hold. Swagger pulls Rusev into the center of the ring. Rusev crawls to the ropes and Swagger pulls Rusev back into the ring. Rusev with kicks to the ribs while preventing Swagger from reapplying the ankle lock. Swagger misses a dive at the leg and Rusev with a leaping thrust kick.

Lana gives Rusev the safe word and Rusev stomps on the back and applies the Accolade. Swagger tries to escape the hold but Rusev holds on and reapplies it. Swagger tries to get to the ropes and he succeeds. Lana gives Rusev instructions and Rusev pulls Swagger across the ring and Rusev stomps on the back and reapplies the Accolade. Swagger tries to get out of the hold and he gets to his feet but a towel is thrown into the ring.

The referee is confused at the situation and while he removes the towel from the ring, Bo Dallas trips Swagger and that allows Rusev to reapply the Accolade and Swagger taps out.

Winner: Rusev

After the match, Rusev finally releases the Accolade, but Rusev has trouble getting back to his feet. The Russian flag drops.

Bo Dallas enters the ring and he tells Jack it was a tough loss. He did save Jack from further embarrassment. He wouldn’t have thrown the towel in if Jack had learned to BOLIEVE. Bo kicks Swagger and hits a BoDog.

Miz is in the back and he is on the phone. He says that he can be on the set in an hour, but Miz is being tapped on the shoulder. Miz thinks it is someone looking for an autograph. Miz is grabbed on the shoulder and he turns around and it is Kane. Kane tells the person on the phone that Miz won’t be able to make it on the set because he has a match against someone who can remove a Moneymaker with just one kick . . . Sheamus.

Kane tells Miz he loves his work and we go to commercial.

Before the next match, Goldust says that he wants to apologize for what happened on Monday. They want the tag team titles so bad and they lost their heads. They want the Usos to accept their apology.

Match Number Five: Jimmy Uso (with Jey Uso) versus Stardust (with Goldust)

They lock up and Jimmy backs Stardust into the corner. Jimmy with an uppercut and chop to Stardust. Jimmy with another chop and punch. Stardust with a punch and kick to the head. Stardust with another kick and he sends Jimmy into the corner. Stardust with shoulders in the corner and Jimmy with a rollup for the three count.

Winner: Jimmy Uso

After the match, Goldust and Stardust attack Jimmy Uso and then they go after Jey. Jimmy is sent into the turnbuckles while Stardust works over Jey. Goldust punches Jey and Stardust throws Jey to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Miz is in the ring with Damien Sandow.

Miz says that contrary to what some people think, the Moneymaker is the most important commodity in the WWE and it cannot afford to be Brogue Kicked. Playing the part of The Miz is Damien Mizdow.

Match Number Six: Sheamus versus Damien Sandow (with Miz)

Miz gets on the apron to try to distract Sheamus, but it does not work and Miz goes to the floor. Sandow with punches and forearms. Sandow with shoulders in the corner followed by knees. Sandow with a forearm and head butt followed by a back elbow. Sandow with another head butt.

Sandow kicks Sheamus in the corner. Sandow with an Irish whip but Sheamus comes out of the corner with two running double sledges and a power slam. Sheamus sends Sandow to the apron and it is time for forearms across the chest. Sheamus with White Noise for the three count.

Winner: Sheamus

After the match, Miz attacks Sheamus in the ring before heading to the back but Ziggler sends Miz back into the ring. Sheamus sets for a Brogue Kick on Miz but Miz moves and Sheamus gives the Brogue Kick to Sandow.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the Brock Lesnar video from Raw followed by the Hall of Fame panel.

Big Show kicks Rowan before the bell rings and the six men pair off. Show continues to work over Rowan while Harper and Henry battle. Wyatt and Reigns fight on the floor. Show punches Rowan but Rowan with a knee as Reigns works over Harper on the floor.

Match Number Seven: Big Show, Mark Henry, and Roman Reigns versus Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Bray Wyatt

Show with a sunset flip for a near fall. Show with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Show with an elbow to the arm and he tags in Reigns. Reigns punches Rowan and he continues to work on the arm. Reigns with an elbow to the arm and Henry tags in. Henry with a kick and he works on the arm and wrist. Show tags back in and he head butts Rowan. Show sends Rowan into the turnbuckles and he sets for the Shhhhh chop but Rowan with a forearm and he tags in Harper.

Show with a chop in the corner and Harper goes to the other side of the ring. Show with a chop and kick followed by punches. Show with a head butt and snap mare. Show with a drop kick for a near fall. Henry tags in and he head butts Harper. Henry with a JYD head butt. Henry with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Henry gets distracted by Rowan and Harper with a drop kick.

Wyatt tags in and he kicks Henry. We go to commercial.

We are back and Rowan with a knee to Henry and he tries for a suplex but Henry blocks it. Henry with a suplex and both men are down. Show tags in and he connects wit a shoulder tackle and clothesline. Show with an Irish whip and running butt splash into the corner and a shoulder tackle. Show signals for the choke slam and Wyatt tries to interfere but Show with a boot.

Rowan with an elbow and clothesline to Show. Harper tags in and he connects with a forearm. Harper with punches and a boot to Show. Harper with another kick and he gets a near fall. Harper with a front face lock into a Gator Roll and a side head lock. Show gets to his feet and he punches Harper. Harper with a drop kick and Wyatt tags in. Wyatt with kicks and punches to Show followed by a DDT.

Wyatt gets a near fall. Wyatt kicks Show and he tags in Rowan. Rowan with a punch and Ultimate Warrior Splash for a near fall. Rowan with a knee drop to the ribs and then he pulls at Show’s face. Rowan works on Show’s neck. Rowan runs Show into the corner and he connects with forearms. Rowan with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot from Show. Rowan with a running back elbow and Show is down.

Harper tags in and he kicks Show in the ribs. Harper chokes Show in the ropes while Wyatt taunts Show. Harper with a reverse chin lock. Show gets to his feet and he has Harper on his back. Show with a side slam to get out of the hold and both men are down. Wyatt tags in and he connects with a double sledge and head butt to the ribs. Wyatt with a punch and clothesline in the corner. Wyatt sets for a second clothesline in the corner but Show with a clothesline and both men are down.

Reigns and Harper tag in and Reigns with clotheslines and he punches Rowan off the apron. Reigns sends Harper to the floor and then he runs Harper into the apron and then he hits a back breaker on the apron. Reigns with a flying clothesline to Reigns and a clothesline in the corner followed by an uppercut.

Harper falls into the ropes and Reigns goes to the floor for the Juggernaut Drop Kick but Wyatt tries to stop Reigns. Reigns with a punch and then he hits the Juggernaut Drop Kick. Reigns sets for the Superman Punch but Wyatt grabs Reigns. Reigns with a punch to Wyatt and Harper misses a splash into the corner. Reigns with a Superman Punch but Rowan breaks up the cover.

Show with a choke slam to Rowan. Wyatt with a running body block to Show. Henry with the World’s Strongest Slam to Wyatt. Harper with running boot to Henry followed by a super kick to Reigns for a near fall. Harper tries for the discus lariat but Reigns with a spear for the three count.

Winners: Mark Henry, Big Show, and Roman Reigns

We go to credits.
