Home » WWE News » WWE Stock Hits Lowest Mark In Nine Years, Hawkins & Reks “Fired” From NXT

– On Wednesday, WWE’s stock price set a new 52-week low and closed at it’s lowest mark since April 2003. The stock closed at $7.96 per share after setting a 52-week low of $7.95 per share. It is also the first time the stock price has closed under $8.00 per share since April 2003.

NXT authority figure William Regal fired both Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks on this week’s NXT episode (watch here) after pitting the perennial troublemakers against each other in a match in which their jobs were at stake.

Hawkins addressed his termination on Twitter, writing, “Future Endeavored. Anybody hiring a ridiculously good looking pro wrestler with exceptional hair? Damn you #NXT.”

This week’s episode of NXT also features Johnny Curtis vs. Percy Watson and Kaitlyn vs. Maxine.

— Beth Phoenix and Chris Jericho are scheduled to appear on French television show The Grand Journal this Friday to promote the evening’s Raw live event in Paris, France.

Here’s a spoiler for you all if you didn’t read this too bad im posting it once only….cena will loose at extreme rules and disapear from wwe then he will return with not a heel persona but more aggressive and he will reclaim his spot as the face of wwe its just not certain yet if he’ll do this by a rematch with rock or ending takers streak…also this will be summer of brock which will lead to a ten year anniversary summerslam rematch with rock….brock will also feud with triple h or taker this year my guess they’ll go with taker because its certain right now he’ll return at survior series so brock taker at survior series seems logical but it all depends on cena because believe it or not everything going down is to elevate cena

The Market has been down in general. Its the overall economy causing the stock to be at a low. xXFindleyXx is correct, now is a good time to buy the stock because it will undoubtedly be going up by next quarter, and I see it doubling by years end. The stocks low mark doesn’t completely reflect on how the company is doing overall. I see this year being a big year for WWE, coming off the success of WrestleMania 28, and with Brocks return.

Why is the stock dropping? I would have thought that it would at least hold steady after the success of Wrestlemania. Are merchandise sales down?
