— Vince McMahon (@VinceMcMahon) September 11, 2017
Two days after the attacks, Vince McMahon delivered a speech on SmackDown. It was the first event of it’s size after the attacks and McMahon stated that the event sent a message to terrorists. That message was “we will not live our lives in fear”. McMahon thanked the crowd in attendance and everyone watching at home for giving the WWE the privilege of performing in front of them.
