WWE undecided on Asuka’s opponent for WrestleMania

Asuka

Unlike its counterpart which might be main eventing this year’s WrestleMania, the SmackDown Women’s Champion doesn’t even have a match planned for the show yet, latest reports reveal.

The latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reveals that WWE is undecided on a match for the title and there is no word yet on who the title holder Asuka will face at the show.

At one point a match between her and the recent NXT call up Lacey Evans was in the mix but that bout has now been nixed for unknown reasons.

Though the officials are still high on the former NXT Star and according to reports she will be feuding with Natalya on Raw in upcoming times.

Based on the recent events on WWE programming, we can speculate that Asuka will face Sonya Deville and Many Rose in a triple threat for her title at the upcoming PPV.

Though it’s always possible that the company adds other stars like Naomi to this bout as well, making it a multi person match for the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Sonya Deville could be a decent opponent if they hadent buried her for no reason. Nikki Cross could actually work really well except for the fact that she is on Raw, but that won’t stop them.

    Push Dana Brooke, already.

Hey WWE, instead of considering Evans, how about considering the woman who has had a few matches and vanished already, Nikki Cross.
I am sure fans would be more behind that than Evans, Deville or Rose.

Unfortunately WWE wouldnt call up any of those you mentioned simply as its far to soon, i can see them getting called up eventually though.

Only reason i picked bazler is because shes more than ready at this point, and if WWE are planning on the whole 4 horsewomen thing i can see her debuting sooner than later

Bruh, read my post. WWE has 14 good options, 10 from NXT, 1 from Raw, 1 from SmackDown, 1 from the Mae Young Classic, and 1 unsigned who was from Impact Wrestling. WWE has never had it so easy and so good at the same time when it comes to picking a WM opponent for Asuka. It is by no means slim pickings for them.

Is Ember Moon injured? If not, Asuka vs Ember Moon- it was a good fued in NXT. Here’s more options:
    1. Asuka vs Shayna Baszler
    2. Asuka vs Allysin Kay (from Mae Young Classic) (aka Sienna from Impact Wrestling)
    3. Asuka vs Mia Yim
    4. Asuka vs Toni Storm
    5. Asuka vs Rhea Ripley
    6. Asuka vs Bianca Belair
    7. Asuka vs Io Sharai
    8. Asuka vs Kairi Sane
    9. Asuka vs Dakota Kai
    10. Asuka vs Kacy Cantanzaro
    11. Asuka vs Xia Li
That’s 12 different options WWE can pick from, and each & every one of them would be great quality match worthy of Wrestlemania, no way WWE could go wrong with any of them. It’s not that hard, there is no excuse for WWE not been having something ready for Asuka for Wrestlemania, two weeks after the royal rumble had ended. Even I could have done a better job with this than they have.

    It’s not THAT difficult..

I mean what about Asuka vs Bazler? If they want to bring somebody up THAT would be the big match
