New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has decided against appearing for TNA Wrestling at Monday’s Impact Wrestling taping in Orlando, Florida, according to FOXSports.com.

Rosenhaus Sports president Robert Bailey, who represents Pierre-Paul, told FOXSports.com reporter Alex Marvez that the Giants star had not signed off on the deal and therefore will not appear for the wrestling group. Both TNA Wrestling and Spike TV believed a deal was finalized when the news was disclosed Saturday to the sports news website.

“He declined because he is exhausted,” Bailey said.

Pierre-Paul was scheduled to have an in-ring confrontation with Kurt Angle at the event.

Jason is probably going to saying TNA is too good for this NFL star.

To follow up on our earlier story which broke the news that Vince Russo is no longerĀ on the TNA creative team, WZ can now confirm that Bruce Prichard is retaining his title as Senior Vice President of Programming and Talent Relations, and that Dave Lagana has replaced Russo as Impact’s lead writer.

We have been told that Russo is not backstage at Against All Odds tonight.

Cue Jason to TNAs defense. They are the greatest wrestling promotion that hardly anyone watches. We’re just jealous that TNA is better than everybody in history. There ya go Jason gave you a head start

He’s likely holding out for an offer from a real wrestling company.
