205 Live house show results

It’s been in the works for a few months now to have 205 Live begin their own tour. While their first show in Kingston, Rhode Island was canceled, the cruiserweights began their tour on January 20 in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Here are some details from the night:

  • Hideo Itami defeated Jack Gallagher with a new finisher, as it looks like WWE may be holding off on the GTS after Brian Kendrick’s injury.
  • Gran Metalik and Kalisto beat TJP and Drew Gulak
  • Akira Tozawa defeated Aryia Daivari
  • Mustafa Ali defeated Tony Nese

Two featured feuds for the tour were the newly “Woken” Matt Hardy facing off against Bray Wyatt, and Enzo defending his belt against whoever his opponent was at that time. Originally it was Rich Swann but he was replaced with Cedric Alexander in the storyline after he was arrested.

Hardy and Wyatt were assigned to join this tour in order to sell more tickets, as it is believed that the WWE doesn’t believe they can sell out a show on their own. Hardy defeated Wyatt with a Twist of Fate.

Enzo Amore successfully defended his Cruiserweight Title against Cedric Alexander after the special guest referee Nia Jax hit Alexander with a Samoan Drop.
