205 Live’s Lince Dorado not happy about Superfan Izzy being chokeslammed

Most wrestling fans know that, while in NXT, Bayley had a superfan who appeared at every show to give the Huggable One support; a young girl named Izzy. In fact, one of the most memorable moments of the Bayley-Sasha Banks feud featured the Boss getting in Izzy’s face, making her cry.

Izzy has been interested in wrestling basically from birth and finally got to participate in a match over the weekend. She even took a chokeslam during the match, much to the chagrin of those in the business, including 205 Live star Lince Dorado.

The Golden Lynx took to Twitter to address the match, revealing that he was embarrassed as a parent and a professional wrestler.

Izzy went on to win the match, thanks to the help of Leva Bates, capturing a championship after hitting her opponent with a Stunner.

This isn’t the first time that this kind of situation has caused some kind of controversy. Kenny Omega notoriously wrestled then 9-year old Haruka to a no contest many years ago during a DDT event. When footage of the match appeared online, it divided the wrestling community, and Jim Cornette himself bashed Omega for the stunt.

And look how well she took that choke slam! The wrestler also did a fantastic job at executing that choke slam and looked to protect her very well during the stunner.

That’s awesome! I’m sure they understood the risks and she did as well. That’s great she got an opportunity like that, I’d kill for that exp!

This is the kind of thing that gives indy wrestling a bad reputation.

Thankfully, there’s enough great wrestlers in the indy circuit that they’re slowly changing that, but it seems like every now and then, an indy company forgets that, and just goes for the cheap stunts again.
