Fans witnessed the grand opening of the Backlash Premium Live Event, which included a match between Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa and Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. Tanga Loa made his debut in the fight as well, however, it looks previously unreleased video now shows how badly Loa first performed in his debut.
The crowd was kept engaged with a good street fight between Kevin Owens and Randy Orton against Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga in the evening’s opening encounter. Unexpectedly, Tama Tonga’s brother Tanga Loa made an unexpected debut that caused enough havoc to tip the scales in Sikoa and Tonga’s favor. Seizing the chance, Solo Sikoa used his deadly Samoan Spike to pin Kevin Owens and win.
During Tanga Loa’s debut, WWE attempted to portray him as a freak of nature; however, a widely shared video on the internet reveals that he mishandled his escape, leaving the ring too late. To keep the action moving smoothly, the referee had to painfully arch himself backwards for a brief moment before Loa seized him. WWE chose not to broadcast this on their live channel.
After joining NJPW’s Bullet Club and forming the Guerrillas of Destiny (G.O.D.) tag team with Tama Tonga, his adopted brother, Tanga Loa became well-known. He is currently a part of WWE’s Bloodline plot, so it will be interesting to see how he fits into the scheme. We do, however, hope that he won’t make such mistakes in the future.
