In recent years, Thomas has been under scrutiny for failing to disclose gifts and trips from conservative donor Harlan Crow, while his wife, Ginni, has faced scrutiny over her involvement in efforts related to the 2020 presidential election.
Thomas acknowledged the negativity surrounding him and his wife but emphasized their choice not to dwell on it. Despite the challenges, he stressed the importance of not allowing others to dictate one’s character or behavior.
Reflecting on Washington, D.C., Thomas characterized it as a place where people take pride in being “awful,” describing it as a “hideous place.” Despite these sentiments, Thomas remains steadfast in his commitment to his role and principles as a Supreme Court Justice.
