Vince McMahon Caught Lying To Shane After…

Vince McMahon faced a significant loss when Vince Russo, a key member of the WWE writing team, departed for rival promotion WCW in 1999. Russo has recently made allegations suggesting that McMahon misled Shane McMahon regarding the circumstances surrounding his departure.

Collaborating with Ed Ferrara, Russo played a pivotal role in crafting WWE storylines during the late 1990s, a period when RAW achieved its highest ratings. According to Russo, his decision to leave WWE stemmed from McMahon’s suggestion that he hire a nanny to care for his children.

Speaking on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast, Vince Russo recounted a conversation with Shane McMahon regarding his sudden exit from WWE:

“I said, ‘Bro, do you know why I left?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, my father told me WCW paid you more money.’ And I said, ‘Shane, that’s bulls**t.’ I said, ‘That had nothing to do with anything.’ I said, ‘I left because your father told me to hire a nanny to watch my kids.'”

It’s unlikely Vince Russo will ever work for WWE again in the end.
