Adam Cole ‘Leaves’ Before WWE Smackdown?

Adam Cole is most definitely one of the top Superstars in WWE NXT right now and has been one of the mainstays of NXT televisions since his debut in 2017. Adam Cole leaving WWE date was also previously revealed.

Adam Cole was said to have signed a contract with WWE along with his Undisputed Era brethren as stated by Wrestling Observer Newsletter in June of last year. It was stated that Cole’s contract with NXt will not expire until fall 2024, likely around September.

However, that turned out to not be true as his contract is set to expire right after the WWE SummerSlam event on August 21st. After that, there is no indication whether he will stick with the company or not.

According to a report by Fightful Select, Adam Cole was said to have had a “high priority” with Vince McMahon before this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, to discuss his career in the company.

”Fightful learned that a couple of hours before Smackdown, Cole was taken directly to Vince McMahon’s office, in something that was said to have appeared a “high priority” to McMahon himself. Those high up in WWE said that they heard the meeting went well, and Vince McMahon seemed to have taken a liking to Adam Cole on a personal level.

People backstage at Smackdown said that Cole was not around during the show. WWE had originally hoped to bring Cole in the Friday before to Smackdown in Minnesota, but switched it to the following week in Tampa for logistical reasons.

Fightful has been informed there have been pitches for Cole on both Raw and Smackdown over the last week if he were to re-sign, with WWE sources telling us that it was communicated to Cole that he is wanted on the main roster.”
