Adam Cole Reveals If He’s ‘Too Small’ For Raw

NXT star Adam Cole is not a huge star in terms of height and weight compared to the WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in the main roster. But, wrestling is all about the belief and the in-ring ability of the star.

Cole is listed as 6’0” and 210 pounds on the WWE website, which is an undersized listing compared to the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley who is 6’3” and 273 pounds and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns who is 6’3” and 265 pounds.

Adam Cole believes size does not matter

While Cole has thrived in NXT, some fans wonder if he has the size to carry a title on Raw or SmackDown like Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley. For Cole, size doesn’t matter. During an interview with WrestleRant radio, he said that he had to deal with this size argument during his entire career and he has proved his doubters wrong.

He said:

“The size argument, to me, especially since I’ve been doing it so long, it no longer matters. Truth be told, from the moment I started training and wrestling on the Independents, people have made comments about me being on the smaller side. It’s something I’ve battled with and dealt with, literally my entire career. The awesome thing has been, just based on past experience, pretty much every company I’ve gone into I’ve excelled and been able to be their champion and hold that championship for a long time and the fans have taken to me. Internally, how I feel about it, it doesn’t affect me at all. Guys who aren’t 6 foot 5 and 250 pounds are able to be world champion and perform at a high level. Seeing them do that gives me more motivation and focus to be able to go, ‘I can be in their spot.’ Truth be told, I feel like I am in that spot with NXT being the third brand. Size-wise, right now more than ever, I need to make sure I’m as good as possible in the ring and interviews and focus on the art of it. Fortunately, fans in 2021 have a good appreciation for that.”
