The Wednesday Night Wars between NXT and AEW Dynamite are going strong. So far AEW has the upper hand on NXT as they have beaten the gold and black brand in ratings for the majority of 2020. It seems Adam Cole has some advice on how WWE can fight back.
Adam Cole spoke to TV Insider, where he discussed the Wednesday Night Wars between the two companies. He said that WWE needs to highlight the brand’s strengths. If they are able to showcase the product in new and exciting ways, it will surely help NXT defeat AEW Dynamite.
“Going forward, I think it’s to continue to highlight our strengths. I think finding ways to have really exciting matches and angles and interviews. Finding ways to constantly try new things and see what sticks and what doesn’t stick and evolving the television show. They’re both fairly new television shows.”
“I just think the brand is continuing to grow, and we have to continue to find different and interesting ways to tell stories. We have a great crew of talent, males and females who are some of the best in the world. As long as they’re highlighted, NXT will continue growing. I’m confident in that.”
While WWE has special attractions that can help boost ratings, they can only do so much in the greater scheme of things. We will have to see what the company does to combat AEW.
