Adam Pearce did not appear on WWE Smackdown, as creative didn’t want him getting in the way of Teddy Long’s return for the old school episode. Teddy Long booked Seth Rollins in a match against Cesaro, with Cesaro winning and earning a title shot at Roman Reigns at Backlash.
He also teased Sami Zayn with a variety of matches backstage with Sonya Deville, referencing his love of ‘tag team’ matches.
The recent edition of A&E Biography mainly focussed on WWE Hall of Famer Randy Savage and Jerry Lawler went on to share a story on him.
Jerry Lawler comments on a WCW debut
WWE veteran commentator Jerry Lawler had shared the story about Randy Savage making his debut in WCW and how Vince McMahon got to know about it.
Mike Johnson of PWinsider clarified that the story Lawler shared was ‘completely incorrect’. It appears that Lawler misremembered Lex Luger’s jump to WCW on the first episode of Nitro.
According to what Lawler said, Vince McMahon was looking for Savage to go over the Raw format but it was not the case as he was not there and was told to watch TV.
Lawler then went on to describe Vince’s non-reaction to seeing Savage on TV on WCW that night.

Mike Johnson noted that Macho Man didn’t debut for WCW until a December 1994 episode of WCW Saturday Night and that was taped.
Thereby it is obvious that episode did not air opposite a WWF broadcast on the same evening.
There could be mistakes in remembering the incidents that took places decades back. But, it is a shame that A&E production team did not review the facts and aired it without checking.
There were some other graphical errors which were noted during the broadcast as well. Lex Luger was listed as Lex Lugar.
