Advertisements for appearances by Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman reportedly a huge mess up

After the news of Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman’s new role in WWE broke out, an advertisement saying that Bischoff and Heyman will appear on this week’s episodes of SmackDown and RAW respectively went viral on the internet. This advertisement seemed legit and got a lot of fans going berserk on the internet.

Dave Meltzer reported on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that this advertisement is actually legit but it was a humongous botch by the WWE. Meltzer reports that the graphic was made by someone who wasn’t reporting to Vince McMahon but to someone else and this person gave it a green light and that’s how it surfaced online.

McMahon was reportedly unaware of this advertisement’s existence and the fact that it surfaced online. This made the environment backstage displeasing and generally bad.

The bottom line of this fiasco, according to Meltzer, is that the advertisement wasn’t supposed to exist let alone go out online. He states that Bischoff wasn’t booked for the show on Tuesday and Paul probably wasn’t either.

However, due to this unexpected botch, we might now end up seeing the two new Directors of RAW and SmackDown on their respective shows this week.
