AEW’s All Out took place on August 31st at the Sears Center Arena in Chicago, Il.

 


 

“Buy In” pre-show results

Women’s Casino Battle Royal: This one comes down to Rose, Priestly and Baker. They try to gang up on Rose to eliminate her, but Rose fights back and hits a splash in the corner on both women. Rose gets dropped again, and Baker then hits the Canadian destroyer on Priestley. Baker hits a second rope suplex on Rose next, and then unloads with strikes on Priestley. Priestley gets on the apron and spits at Baker, and Baker fights back. Rose ends up knocking them both outside for the win. Rose now has a spot in the AEW Women’s Title match on October 2.

Winner: Nyla Rose

– We see a video package looking at the unveiling of the new AEW World Title, and the feud between Hangman and Chris Jericho for the belt.

Private Party vs. Angelico & Jack Evans: Isiah starts off against Jack, and then Marq tags in shortly after. Marq looks for a hurricanrana, but Jack lands on his feet after a flip. Marq now does some flips of his own, and then they trade offensive attempts. Marq finally connects with a dropkick and Evans goes down. Isiah tags back in and continues he offense on Evans with a series of right hands. Marq tags back in for the double team, but Jack fights them off and hits a springboard corkscrew elbow. Angelica tags in for the double team, and continues the offense on Marq. Jack tags back in for a German suplex/double foot stomp combo on Marq. Evans follows up with knees to the face. Marq leaps over Jack to tag in Isiah, and Isiah cleans house. Isiah hits a springboard moonsault on Angelico on the ringside floor. Back in the ring, Isiah hits a moonsault on Jack. Marq tags in for the double team on Jack. Jack fights back with a spinning heel kick on Marq, but then Isiah tags in for the double team. Isiah then hits a spinning suicide dive on Angelico at ringside. Marq goes up top and hits a shooting star press on Jack. Isiah gets back in the ring and pins Jack, but only gets two. Angelico and Jack finally fight back and double team Isiah for a two count. Jack and Angelico both go to the top rope in opposite corners, but Marq and Isiah meet them there and fight them on the post. Marq ends up hitting a reverse Frankensteiner off the top on Angelico. Marq then hits the reverse Frankensteiner on Jack off the opposite turnbuckle, and Isiah catches Jack in mid-air with a Diamond Cutter. Isiah pins Jack for the three count.

Winners: Private Party

– The two teams shake hands after the match, but then Jack and Angelico attack Private Party from behind.

– We see a video package looking at Wardlow beating up some guys in a parking lot.

– MJF does an interview backstage where he says he will be on the show tonight, despite not being on the card.

– Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross comes out to the broadcast table to call tonight’s show. Ross is joined by Goldbenboy and Excalibur. The go over the card for tonight’s show, and then we see a commercial for AEW on TNT before the pre-show ends.

AEW All Out Results

– We open up with the American National Anthem and a “USA” chant from the audience. We go to the opening video package for tonight’s show.

– So Cal Uncensored comes out to the ring, and they’ve got microphones. They cut a brief promo about packing the house for AEW again, and they lead the crowd in an “SCU” chant. SCU gets ready to wrestle, and then the camera starts shaking, and Jurassic Express comes out.

So Cal Uncensored vs. Jurassic Express: Kazarian and Jungle Boy start this one off trading holds on the mat. Kazarian fires up with a knee to the body, then he tags in Daniels for the double team. Jungle Boy fires up and takes Daniels down with a springboard arm drag. Luchasaurus tags in and puts the boots to Daniels. Marko Stunt tags in and hits a series of kicks on Daniels. Scorpio runs in, but Jungle Boy comes in too and helps Stunt clear the ring. Stunt hits a suicide dive on Daniels, and then Jungle Boy hits a dive on Scorpio and Kazarian. Luchasaurus then hits a dive on Daniels and Scorpio. Back in the ring, Stunt climbs on Luchasaurus’s shoulders, then leaps off with a cross body on Daniels. Jungle Boy tags in and continues the offense on Daniels. Sky tags in and elbows Jungle in the face, then Kazarian tags in and hits a springboard dropkick on Jungle. SCU clears the Jurassic Express apron, and then Sky tags back in for the double team. Daniels tags back in, but Jungle Boy starts fighting back. Luchasaurus and Kazarian get the tags, and Luchasaurus starts cleaning house and drops all three SCU members with kicks. Daniels and Kazarian look for a double team, but Luchasaurus dodges it drops all three SCU members again. Luchasaurus chokeslams Kazarian and then hits a standing moonsault for a two count. Jungle Boy and Stunt both tag in and they start double teaming Kazarian. Daniels runs in, and it turns into all men from both teams brawling in the ring. SCU finally gets the upper hand after triple teaming Luchasaurus. Kazarian hits a dive on Luchasaurus at ringside first, and then Scorpio hits one on him. Back in the ring, Kazarian picks up both Stunt and Jingle, and Daniels goes up top for the double team moonsault/tombstone piledriver. Kazarian covers for the three count.

– SCU and Jurassic Express shake hands and hug after the match.

Kenny Omega vs. Pac: Omega and Pac start off trading holds and trying to show off. Omega starts off strong, but Pac quickly turns it around with kicks. Omega fights back and looks for a Fameasser, but Pac flips out of it. Pac gets dumped outside and Omega looks for a dive, but Pac catches Omega with a knee to the midsection. Omega fights back and whips Pac into the fan barricade. Omega and Pac trade shots on the floor now. Back in the ring, Pac hits a boot to the face and Omega is down. Pac tries to keep Omega grounded, but Omega fights back and hits some chops to the chest of Pac. Pac looks to run the ropes, but Omega stops him short and clotheslines him out to ringside. Omega kicks Pac through the ropes, then Omega hits a big suicide dive on Pac at ringside. Back in the ring, Omega hits a missile dropkick off the top to the back of Pac’s head. Omega follows up with a Fisherman’s suplex for a two count. Omega picks up Pac, but Pac breaks free and elbows Omega in the face. Omega fights back with a rolling senton, but then Pac fires up and drops him with a tornado DDT. Omega rolls out to ringside, and Pac hits a moonsault off the top turnbuckle down on to Omega on the ringside floor. Pac’s legs appear to hit the fan barricade hard. Back in the ring, Pac hits a 450 splash off the top for a two count. Omega fights up to his feet and they trade blows in the middle of the ring. Omega gets the upper hand and hits a spinebuster for a two count. Pac shoves the referee towards Omega, but Omega moves him aside and hits a dropkick on Pac. Omega follows up with a neckbreaker over the knee. Omega hits a Shining Wizard, and then he picks up Pac and hits a German suplex for a two count. Omega looks for a Tiger Driver, but Pac fights out and kicks Omega down. Omega follows up with snap German suplex, and then he hits another German for a two count. Omega fights back and hits a snap Dragon Suplex, and then a running knee to the face. Omega covers for a two count. Omega goes for another knee to the face, but Pac blocks it and fires back with a series of kicks. Omega connects with a knee to the face, and then another one. Pac fights back with a reverse hurricanrana, and both men are slowing down now. Pac latches on to Omega and applies The Brutalizer submission. Omega goes out cold, and the ref calls for the bell.

Joey Janela vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Darby Allin: This match is sponsored by Cracker Barrel, and there are Cracker Barrel related items around the ramp. Jimmy immediately leaves the ring after the opening bell, and he pulls out multiple chairs and a table from under the ring. Havoc throws the table in the ring, and he also brings a staple gun in the ring. Jimmy staple guns himself, and dares his opponents to bring it. Joey and Darby do bring it, and they double team Jimmy and dump him out to ringside. They end up taping Jimmy to a chair at ringside. They put thumbtacks in Jimmy’s face and mouth, and then duct tape his mouth. Joey and Darby’s temporary allegiance is now over, and they start brawling all over ringside. Back in the ring, Darby hits an arm drag and a stunner on Joey. Jimmy breaks free at ringside and starts going at it with Joey. Darby gets dropped, and then back in the ring Jimmy beats down Joey and gives him papercuts between his fingers and on his mouth. Joey fights back with a brainbuster on a steel chair. Joey then hits a sunset flip powerbomb off the apron on Darby through a table. Jimmy then starts beating down Joey on the ramp. Jimmy hits him with a plate of pancakes, and a barrel. Back in the ring, Darby gets back into things and beats down Joey and Jimmy with a skateboard. Darby hits an ollie off the top rope on Joey for a two count. Jimmy gets back in the fight and starts beating down Darby all over ringside. Darby comes back with a cannonball splash on Jimmy through a table. Darby hits Jimmy on the ring steps, then he picks up the wooden barrel, and he tries climbs to the top rope. Darby goes flying, but Jimmy rolls out of the way, and Darby crashes through the barrel on the ring steps by himself. Back in the ring, Joey beats down Jimmy and hits a flying elbow off the top for a two count. Jimmy fights back and suplexes Joey, and then hits his finisher through another wooden barrel in the ring for the three count.

Winner: Jimmy Havoc

Best Friends vs. The Dark Order: The winners of this match earn a spot in the tag tournament. The Best Friends start off strong in this one and clear the ring early on. Trent is the legal man now, and Evil Uno grabs him by the ankle from the apron, leading to Grayson dropkicking Trent off the apron and into the fan barricade. Uno tags in for the double team on Trent. Grayson tags back in and works over Trent with knee strikes. Grayson and Uno trade frequent tags now to continue the offense on Trent. Uno misses a big splash in the corner and Trent drops him with a Tornado DDT. Chuck finally gets the tag and cleans house. Uno fights back and all four men go at it in the ring now. Uno and Grayson end up clearing Chuck to the outside, and their druids attack him. Uno and Grayson double team Trent for the three count.

Winners: The Dark Order

– After the match, the lights go out, and Orange Cassidy is in the ring. Orange hits a suicide dive on The Dark Order at ringside, with his hands in his pockets. He gets back in the ring and kicks up. The Best Friends get in the ring and they hug Orange.

Hikaru Shida vs. Riho: The winner of this one receives shot at AEW Women’s World Championship on October 2 against Nyla Rose. Shida starts off strong and takes the fight out to ringside where she beats down Riho. Back in the ring, Shida applies a Boston Crab. Riho fights back with a hurricanrana and some kicks, but Shida shuts her down and tries to keep her grounded. They fight up the turnbuckle and Shida hits a superplex for a two count. They fight up the turnbuckle again, and this time Riho hits a series of forearms to the face. Shida falls backwards and Riho hits a stomp off the top. Riho follows up with the running knee strike for a two count. After a series of reversals and pin attempts, Riho rolls up Shida in a small package for the three count, and Shida can’t believe it.

Winner: Riho

– Nyla Rose comes out to the stage after the match and stares at the winner before leaving.

Sean Spears vs. Cody Rhodes: Tully Blanchard is in Spears’ corner. We cut backstage, and see Brandi Rhodes, her dog, DDP, and MJF, and they appear to be wearing Star Trek themed clothing. Cody makes his entrance, also in a Star Trek themed shirt. Pyro goes off, and then Brandi, the dog, DDP and MJF come out from the tunnel, but the dog is scared from the pyro and doesn’t want to come out. They walk down the ramp, and Cody reveals that he will have MJF in his corner. Brandi and DDP leave. Cody hits a suicdide dive out of the ring on Spears before the opening bell, and he knocks over Tully too when he tries to get involved. They brawl through the crowd and back to the ring, where referee Earl Hebner finally calls for the opening bell. They brawl back out to ringside where Cody takes control, but then Tully hits a low-blow on Cody from behind while the ref is distracted by MJF. Spears gets the upper hand now and starts beating down Rhodes. Back in the ring, Rhodes misses a spear in the corner, and then Spears hits a DDT on the apron. Tully gets involved, and then spears gets in a shouting match with Hebner. Spears takes Tully’s belt from him and starts whipping Cody, and that makes Cody fire up. Cody fights back and hits an Alabama Slam on Spears. Cody puts Spears in the Figure Four, but Tully gets involved behind the ref’s back again to help Spears. The fight spills out to ringside where Shawn drops Cody on his head. Back in the ring, Rhodes hits an inverted DDT. Tully gets on the apron and distracts the referee, and then MJF does the same. Tully steps in the ring, and MJF steps in too. Tully and MJF are about t oget into it, and they start choking each other. Spears hits a big boot on MJF and sends him out to ringside. Tully leaves the ring on his own, and he puts the boots to MJF at ringside. Arn Anderson comes out down the ramp next. Arn gets in the ring and gives Spears a spinebuster in the middle of the ring. Tully looks on his shock and follows Arn up the ramp. Spears brings a chair into the ring, but Cody kicks him down. Cody picks up the steel chair, and Spears and the ref both ask Cody not to do it. Cody hits Spears with right hands and then a Bionic elbow. Cody throws the chair at Spears and Spears catches it, then Cody kicks it into his face. Cody follows up with the Cross Rhodes for the three count.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

– MJF gets in the ring and celebrates with Cody after the match.

The Young Bucks vs. The Lucha Bros (c): This one is a ladder match for the AAA Tag Titles. They trade hand gestures before the match, and then The Buck look for the Indy Driver early on, but The Lucha Bros escape. They double team Matt, but the Young Bucks are able to fight back with a ladder shot on both Lucha Bros. The Young Bucks then double the Lucha Bros members. Pentagon climbs an unfolded ladder at ringside and hits a splash on the Young BUcks at ringside. Phoenix then leaps from the top rope, over the ladder at ringside, and on to the Young Bucks on the floor. The Lucha Bros start setting up ladders and tables all over the place. Phoenix climbs a ladder in the ring, but the Bucks come in and interrupt. The Bucks and Lucha Bros both fight over the ladder in the middle of the ring. Phoenix and Nick trade chops to the chest and they fight out to the apron. Pentagon and Matt both spear their opponent off the apron and through tables at ringside. Back in the ring, Pentagon drops Matt afer a series of strikes. Matt sends Pentagon out to ringside, and Mett leaps from a ladder with a dive on him at ringside. Back in the ring, Nick hits a series of suplexes on Phoenix, and he finishes with a suplex on to a ladder in the corner. The Lucha Bros turn it around and dump the Bucks out to ringside, then they set up a big ladder in the ring. They start climbing, but the Bucks interrupt and take the Lucha Bros down. Nick beats down both Lucha Brothers, then starts climbing the ladder, but Phoenix pushes him off. Nick lands on Pentagon at ringside, then Phoenix hits a moonsault off the ropes on to Nick at ringside. Back in the ring, Matt and Pentagon fight up the ladder. Pentagon leaps from his side of the ladder and hits a Sling Blade on Matt off the ladder. Nick gets in the ring and Pentagon connects with some kicks on him. Pentagon rolls outside and Nick hits a dive on him. Back in the ring, Phoenix springboards over the top rope, through a ladder, and hits the Candian Destroyer on Matt. Penatgon and Matt climb the ladder, and Pentagon hits a Canadian Destroyer off the ladder through a table in the ring. They fight out to ringside, and Nick hits a splash off a ladder on to Pentagon through a ladder, and at the same time, Phoenix hits a splash off a ladder on to Matt through a table at ringside. Nick and Phoenix start going at it on the floor now, and Nick hits a Tornado DDT off the apron on to Phoenix on the floor. Back in the ring, Phoenix and Nick go at it, and then Matt gets back in the ring and superkicks Phoenix down. Pentagon gets in the ring, but Nick drops him and puts him in the Sharpshooter. Matt sets up a ladder over Pentagon and chokes him. Phoenix climbs the ladder, but Nick meets him there and knocks him off. Matt picks up Phoenix in the Tombstone position, but then Pentagon superkicks Matt down. Nick is on the ladder and he’s almost at the belts, but Pentagon shoves the ladder over, and Nick crashes through a table at ringside. Matt and Pentagon right on the ladder, and Matt rips off Pentagon’s lucha mask and knocks him down. Phoenix leaps from the top rope towards the ladder, but Matt kicks him out of mid-air. Phoenix then kicks the ladder down, then rolls out to ringside to put his mask back on. Pentagon and Phoenix take Matt on to a ladder that’s set up between the ring apron and the fan barricade. They hit a double team piledriver on the ladder. Back in the ring, the Lucha Bros climb the ladder and grab the Tag Titles.

Winners & still Champions: The Lucha Bros

– After the match, two masked men hit the ring and attack both teams. The masked men hit a powerbomb/flipping neckbreaker off the top combination. They reveal the masks, and it’s Santana and Ortiz.

Hangman vs. Chris Jericho: Hangman and Jericho start off trading arm drags and strikes. Hangman fires up and hits a chop to the chest. Hangman misses a shot in the corner and Jericho fires back with a missle dropkick from the middle rope. Hangman comes back with a flying clothesline for a two count of his own. Jericho looks for a springboard dropkick, but he misses and Hangman dumps him outside. Hangman looks for a dive off the apron, but Jericho caches him in the Codebreaker on the floor. Hangman gets on the apon, but Jericho kicks him off and he crashes into the fan barricade. They fight aorund ringside, and Jericho nails Hangman in the face with a microphone. Back in the ring, Jericho and Hangman trade chops to the chest, until Jericho hits an armbar takedown. Jericho poses for the crowd, and then puts the boots to Hangman. Jericho hits a senton drop off the turnbuckle for a two count. Hangman fights back wih punches and chops, but Jericho fires back with a dropkick for another two count. They trade chops to the chest, and then Jericho goes up top and hits a cross body. Hangman rolls through and picks up Jericho, then hits a fallaway slam. Hangman hits a rolling Samoan drop, and then a lariat and a standing shooting star press for a two count. Jericho fights back and looks for the Lionsault, but Hangman jumps up on the ropes with him and gives him a Russian leg sweep off the middle rope. Hangman hits a discus lariat on Jericho, and Jericho starts selling his eye. Jericho rolls out to ringside and blades, and he’s now bleeding from above his left eye. Hangman throws Jericho into the fan barricade at ringside, and then takes him back in the ring. Hangman hits a clothesline, and then he puts the boots to Jericho in the corner. Hangman misses a splash in the corner, and Jericho sends him into the ring post. Jericho climbs the turn buckle and takes Hangman up with him. Hangman ends up giving Jericho a swinging neckbreaker off the top. Hangman hits a discus elbow to the face of Jericho. Jericho fights back and drops Hangman over the ropes. Jericho goes for a springboard dropkick, but Hangman kicks Jericho out of mid-air. Hangman hits the buckshot lariat on Jericho. Hangman picks up Jericho, but Jericho escapes and puts Hangman in the Wall of Jericho. Hangman reaches the ropes, and the ref calls for the break and she shoves Jericho. Jericho shoves her back, and she yells at him and threatens to disqualify him. Jericho misses a clothesline on Hangman and gets dumped outside. Hangman climbs the turnbuckle and hits a moonsault off the top on Jericho on the ringside floor. Back in the ring, Hangman jumps the top rope, but Jericho catches him in the Codebreaker for a two count. Jericho knees Hangman in the head a couple times, but then Hangman comes back with a discus lariat. Hangman looks for a shooting star press, but Jericho blocks it with his knees. Jericho looks for the Codebreaker, but Hangman catches him and blocks it. Hangman turns it into the Dead Eye for a two count. Hangman hits the Buckshot Lariat next. Jericho fights up and hits the Judas Effect spinning back elbow on Hangman for the three count.

– A trainer looks at Jericho’s cut at ringside as we go to replays. Jericho celebrates on the stage as All Out goes off the air.
