AEW ‘Can’t Sign’ Three Fired WWE Stars

While AEW is known for several noteworthy surprises and signings, including signing of former WWE talent – there are three names that All Elite Wrestling will have to cross off of their list and not be able to sign going forward. A top WWE champion’s ‘real fight’ against this AEW star recently leaked.

 


 

At Impact Wrestling’s annual Slammiversary pay-per-view event, it was revealed that No Way Jose, Chelsea Green and the former Aiden English all appeared on the show in some capacity and will be signed to the company going forward.

No Way Jose was a ‘last minute’ replacement for TJP, who was supposed to tag with Fallah Bah, Bah introduced Jose as his partner for the evening who used his old WWE name and even had a conga line – just like he did in his former promotion. It will be interesting to see if Impact wrestling modifies this going forward.

One person who did not use their former WWE name, or any actual in-ring name at all was the former Aiden English who was simply referred to as ‘The Drama King’. English, whose real name is Matt Rehwoldt was not physically on-screen during Slammiversary but instead showed up at the event in the form of a video package.

It was revealed that Vince McMahon is ‘furious’ with this major AEW news. Chelsea Green however did show up physically do Impact’s Slammiversary as she showed up as Matt Cardona’s ‘mystery partner against Tenille Dashwood and Brian Myers. Although this debut was widely speculated and anticipated by wrestling fans. Mickie James appeared as an NWA representative.
