AEW Contact Top WWE Star For Revolution Debut

Who is the mystery AEW signing? That is the question that everyone is asking leading into AEW’s upcoming Revolution pay-per-view which will take place on March 7, 2021 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. In an updated regarding this anticipated news, Sean Ross Sapp said on a FightfulSelect.com podcast an AEW wrestler told him about the signing, “It will shock you.” He added, “In a good way.” This unnamed wrestler also stated that there are also 2-3 surprises planned for Revolution. This surprise AEW signing was just revealed.

It should however, be noted that perhaps, there is a big lead in the mystery of who the mystery star signing for All Elite Wrestling is going be. It was recently revealed that AEW’s Chief Legal Officer Megha Parekh recently followed someone on Instagram who would certainly fit the bill of a ‘Hall of Fame worthy’ career: Christian Cage. She then unfollowed Christian in the last couple of days.

It should be noted that Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc. has reported that Christian was re-signed with WWE. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful were not able to verify this claim, and Christian hasn’t been in creative discussions despite a new Jey Uso match claim. In addition, to that AEW talent and personalities such as Shawn Spears and Lee Johnson have followed ‘Captain Charisma’ on social media.

Tony Khan also said on Busted Open Radio it was one of his ‘favorite’ wrestlers of all time, and that it would make co-host Mark Henry very happy. Henry is good friends with Christian.

Over on the Squared Circle subreddit, professional wrestling fans have been doing their own estimating as to who this ‘Hall of Fame worthy’ talent could be, as Kurt Angle is another realistic possibility who fits the bill and could show up, though age may rule him out.

DrCapperl stated: “[It] has to be [Kurt] Angle. The end of his career must be re-written and AEW has the power to do it, while using him to sell out a major arena in Pittsburgh to give him the proper send off he deserves. That WWE abomination was just atrocious and offensive. No real wrestling fan would consider that a legit retirement for Kurt Angle. Tossed aside and jobbed out to a jobber like a lump of shit. Kurt Angle? One of the top 5 ever? A retirement that ended with literally zero fanfare? Nah, don’t think so. That’s WWE shit, for the birdys. It’s invalid. A ‘Hall of Fame worthy’ talent recently made his first tweet after rumors of AEW signing.

The fan concluded by saying: “I’m not a huge AEW fan by any means, but it would be idiotic for them to not make it right. Too much easy publicity and a big sell out in Pittsburgh for Angles last match and win.”
