AEW Finally Name Dynamite General Manager

With AEW leading the way for professional wrestling programs, it was only a matter of time before a GM was officially named for Dynamite.

AEW took to Twitter recently stating that “a huge match” has been booked featuring Eddie Kingston, Butcher & Blade, Lance Archer, Fenix, and Jon Moxley. The match will be live on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday.

The request for the match comes from Eddie Kingston and was approved by AEW GM, Tony Khan, as stated within the recent tweet.

It’s surprising that Tony Khan will be fully taking on the general manager role of AEW as Tony previously stated that he did not want to be a strong television character on AEW. However, since then, Tony has seemed to be really enjoying himself when he is on AEW television.

Tony is the real-life president of AEW and has previously stated that he has always been a huge professional wrestling fan since he was young. It wasn’t too long ago that Tony spoke with Renee Paquette about some of his favorite wrestling moments.

When Renee asked Tony about some of his favorite moments via Oral Sessions With Renee Paquette Tony responded by saying: “It’s changed a lot over time. When I was real young, it might have been Steamboat vs. Savage at WrestleMania III or it might have been Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect at King of the Ring in 1993.”

Tony continues by praising some of his competition: “Then later, I might have said the John Cena-Brock Lesnar match when they beat the hell out of each other.” “Brock’s first match back at Extreme Rules in 2012 where he absolutely beat the sh*t out of John Cena.”

We can’t wait to see what’s to come of Khan.
