AEW recently introduced the TNT Championship at AEW Double Or Nothing. Now it seems the company might be introducing another title.
During the previous Chris Jericho Cruise, Kenny Omega talked about the company introducing six-man tag team titles, promising that it was going to become a reality. After that, there was no mention of tag team trio titles.
During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Matt Hardy partnered up with Private Party and formed the Hardy Party. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about this decision. He noted that it certainly seems like the company is increasing their six-man tag team division.
Currently, AEW has the Death Triangle, Best Friends & Orange Cassidy, The Inner Circle, Elite, Jurassic Express, and more as part of their six-man tag team division. With the inclusion of the Hardy Party, it seems they are gearing towards unveiling the new titles.
With Chris Jericho’s next cruise taking place in February next year, we wonder if the titles will be unveiled around that time.
