AEW and ROH owner Tony Khan has announced the death of Jay Briscoe, who just won the ROH tag team titles with his brother against FTR last month.
Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today.
Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We'll do whatever we can to support his family.

Tony Khan tweeted the death of Jay Briscoe in an auto accident. Two people in car died in an accident at 5:30 p.m. in Laurel, Maryland. Just horribly tragic news.

Frankie Kazarian, formerly of the faction SCU, was an integral part of AEW’s early days. However, the faction no longer exists and Kazarian has since parted ways with the company. It has been revealed that Kazarian had other options, including talks with WWE, but ultimately chose to make his return to Impact Wrestling at their Hard To Kill pay-per-view.
In an interview with PW Insider, Kazarian confirmed that he had discussions with WWE but ultimately decided to sign with Impact Wrestling.
“In the spirit of transparency, I had great talks with the people at WWE. Those talks could not have been better, positive, more professional. I have nothing but great things to say about everybody in that organization, especially the people I spoke to and texted with.”
Kazarian has competed for AEW, Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and WWE. He is a two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion, a one-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion and a one-time ROH World Tag Team Champion. He was also 1/2 of the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Titles as part of SCU.
