As reported earlier, Shawn Spears turned heel at AEW’s Fyter Fest after nailing Cody Rhodes in the head with a vicious chair shot. Rhodes was busted open badly the chair shot and required medical attention after the spot.
However, AEW’s official Twitter account released a photo of Rhodes sitting in the Gorilla Position and gave out a brief medical update about his situation. The caption said that Rhodes required 12 staples to the head to close the wound and luckily no concussion.

Fortunately, Rhodes didn’t receive any serious injuries or a concussion because of that vicious chair shot. However, the inclusion of such direct and unprotected chair shots to the head might give rise to some backlash from the wrestling community.
