AEW Reportedly Beg Star To Not Quit For WWE

AEW President Tony Khan had been receiving huge praise from the talents and employees for providing a great workplace. They had been speaking highly of Khan for being cordial and considering the ideas pitched by the talents. However, going by the recent reports, things have started to change in the Jacksonville-based company. It turns out Tony Khan is leading AEW in his own direction, and his tactics were seen as less than professional along the way.

Tony Khan reportedly has an unprofessional approach

Ringside News had reported that Tony Khan’s behavior backstage was an issue in AEW. There is more to this story, and efforts to take the workload off AEW’s President. The outlet noted that:

“A source with direct knowledge of the situation told us that someone in a high-ranking position backstage told Tony Khan that he quit the company following a night of explosive outbursts. Then Khan took action in a fast manner.”

The outlet further reported that they are told that Khan “chased him down” and “promised to change his behavior.” After that, Khan promoted Sonjay Dutt, Pat Buck, and the others to help with the workload. Ringside News further noted that the AEW President is doing his best at “curbing his temperament” while at AEW television tapings now.

President Khan also has had some issues with AEW star MJF over recent months. Just a day before Double or Nothing, The Salt of the Earth is reportedly ready to depart the venue in Las Vegas, leaving his appearance at the event in question. These issues seem to have stemmed from the former Evolve star and Khan’s disagreement about his new deal. His current agreement is set to expire in 2024. This matter had grabbed headlines and MJF has not been featured in the programming for quite some time now.
