AEW had recently confirmed details of their next PPV event called Revolution and now the company has announced that the event has sold out.
The promotion announced the news via a tweet from their official account recently, revealing that the event sold out within an hour of the tickets being made available:
#AEWRevolution is SOLD OUT!
You did it! You actually did!
In less than an hour – #AEWRevolution is sold out!
However! – keeping checking https://t.co/rFcIFUPD6k between now and show date as we will try to open up seats once production’s set up is finalized! pic.twitter.com/8x39QjZbuI— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) December 20, 2019
While this achievement is not as impressive as the sell out of Double Or Nothing or All Out PPVs which sold out in only a few minutes, it’s still much better than Full Gear which reportedly had tickets available a few days before the show.
This is also a relief for AEW officials after the recent drop in their TV ratings and their loss to NXT in numbers for the final week of Wednesday Night Wars of 2019.
AEW will present the Revolution PPV in partnership with the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) on Saturday, February 29, 2020, from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
