Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan rose to superstardom in 2014 thanks to his organic rise as a babyface. This culminated in him winning both the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships at WrestleMania 30 after Bryan defeated Randy Orton and Batista in a triple threat match. Matt Riddle also dropped a huge Daniel Bryan bombshell.
Daniel Bryan, now known as Bryan Danielson, discussed why he left WWE for AEW after the end of AEW All Out, as seen in the tweets below. Adam Cole also debuted, reuniting with The Elite. CM Punk debuted recently as well. Jim Ross ‘botched’ a major WWE star’s AEW debut.
AEW President Tony Khan recently spoke to Josh Martinez of Z100, where he revealed that he is quite excited about an upcoming signing.
“There is. They are in North America, and they’re coming. And pretty soon, and it’s going to be awesome. I’m very excited.”
The Fiend remains one of the most unique characters to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. Bray Wyatt’s latest iteration made its in-ring debut back at 2019’s SummerSlam pay-per-view again Finn Balor, where he won in a squash match. However, his booking since then has been panned by many fans. Particularly him losing to Goldberg at WWE Super Showdown last year. He would lose to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37 in a singles match after being betrayed by Alexa Bliss. He has not been seen on WWE television since then. Bray Wyatt could be losing The Fiend to a big name in WWE.
Bray Wyatt was released by WWE on July 31st and since then the former WWE Superstar has already teased what he might do next. From what it seems, it is likely he will be making his way to AEW far earlier than expected, as WWE may have let him have a shorter noncompete.
