AEW Star ‘Rejects’ WWE SummerSlam Offer

WWE SummerSlam is merely days away and it has been noted that the company has been trying to get several big names for the already stacked card. In a new report, PWInsider is stating that WWE wanted to bring in WWE Hall of Famer, part time AEW Star, and boxing icon Mike Tyson in some capacity, most notably as the voiceover artist for the video package highlighting the highly hyped matchup between John Cena and Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Mike Tyson recently ‘scared’ his trainer in this leaked video.

However, as the outlet also points out, the company’s alleged attempts to bring in Tyson have been unsuccessful. It is unclear who, if anyone, will be taking Tyson’s place.

In other news regarding Mike Tyson, during a recent edition of his Hotboxing podcast, Tyson stated how his oldest son Amir ‘really wants’ to have a fight with famed internet personality turned boxer Logan Paul. Tyson would then explain how he reacted to that and how he has attempted to steer his son toward another avenue. Credit to Cinemablend for the following quote.

I have my kid, the oldest one, he’s 24. He wants to do this so bad. I said ‘Man, just chill the fuck out.’ He wants to fight Logan Paul and those guys. He wants to do that. I said, ‘Man, just got a job. Get a real estate license. Just chill out man. Why can’t you take advantage of your lightweight wealthiness? Just chill. You don’t want none of that heat. I’m telling you. This drives people to commit suicide, getting humiliated in front of millions of people. You gotta be able to take that pressure and heat. Not many people can do it. It seems like a lot of people, but the people doing it is such a small percent. It’s probably one percent.’
