AEW stars and Wendy’s fast-food chain have funny Twitter exchanges

All Elite Wrestling and a couple of the AEW wrestlers have been doing some funny back-and-forth Twitter exchanges with the official account for the fast-food establishment, “Wendy’s” this week.

Things got started when a fan tagged “The Demo God” and leader of the Inner Circle, Chris Jericho, as well as the Wendy’s restaurant Twitter feed in tweets aimed at getting a “Happy Birthday” response from them.

Little did the fan know what they were getting started!

This sequence of events spawned a multitude of tweets from AEW wrestlers, as well as the Wendy’s feed, all of whom had some fun with inside references.

“Well, I’m not Wendy’s,” Jericho wrote in response to the initial message from the fan. “But happy birthday anyway!”

This prompted the official Wendy’s Twitter account to send one of their own, which read, “Are you saying you want me to join the Inner Circle?”

While one never technically came from “Le Champion,” the Wendy’s Twitter feed did, however, receive an invitation from Dark Order member Evil Uno to “#JoinDarkOrder.”

“Want to #JoinDarkOrder?” read the tweet from Evil Uno that was sent to the Wendy’s Twitter account.

“Can we be Number 444?” the Wendy’s account fired back. “It will be nice to make sure Johnny is no longer Hungiee.”

An additional member of the Dark Order, John Silver, then joined in on the fun.

“Wendy’s knows what’s up,” he wrote.
