Johnny Gargano could make his debut in AEW

As seen on a previous episode of NXT 2.0, Gargano made it clear that his status in NXT is up in the air. However, many fans realized that Johnny Gargano was done for good. That turned out to be true as he is now officially a free agent.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Johnny Wrestling could be making his debut in AEW when Dynamite takes place in Cleveland at the Wolstein Center, which would be on January 26th.

”As more time goes on, I have this feeling that Gargano will debut in Cleveland. That would be the right night to do it, right? It’s I think maybe late [January], maybe [January] 26th. I don’t know 100% that he’s going, but he’s talking about wanting to wrestle Kenny Omega. It’s things he’s said both publicly and privately. I know he’s heavily considering it.”

Gargano is from Cleveland and AEW President Tony Khan loves to book special things for the cities AEW visits. Johnny Wrestling also has no non-compete clause with WWE, because his contract expired. The former NXT Champion had also recently stated that he will work wherever fans call for him to work. We will have to see what the future holds for Gargano.
