AEW’s second TV show possibly starting in late 2020

AEW struck a deal with WarnerMedia and they were able to impress them so much that they received an extension for their contract. However, the COVID-19 pandemic happened shortly afterwards and several plans were delayed.

Owing to the company’s new expansion, they received three more years on TNT. They were also given a second show, but details regarding the show were not concrete. Fans have wondered when the show will even start.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked whether AEW’s second show is still a reality and if it would start anytime soon. He replied by stating that the second show is certainly coming and it will be sooner than fans expect.

He revealed that the second show will be coming by the end of this year. However, he did not specify the nature of the show. The belief is that the company will be presenting a show that will not be purely about wrestling, which Tony Khan hinted in the past.

We will have to see what they plan for the show.
