After venturing into the United Kingdom with NXT, WWE is looking to launch the brand in another European destination – Germany.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the wrestling giant is thinking about making a new brand for NXT in Germany.
Dave Meltzer suggested that the WWE’s alliance with the German indie wrestling promotion Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) is similar to the alliance with UK’s PROGRESS WRESTLING and Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW). So the company already has a promotion to work with when they step into the country.
WWE is also holding tryouts in Germany next month in November, likely for the new German iteration.
