AJ Styles apparently made Smackdown move owing to issues with Paul Heyman

AJ Styles was moved to Friday Night Smackdown from RAW after Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were released. It seems there could have been some friction between Styles and Paul Heyman.

After his move to Smackdown, Styles admitted he felt upset over Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson being released where he stated he felt responsible. He also seemingly mentioned Paul Heyman as a source of frustration.

Dave Meltzer posted in the Wrestling Observer Message Boards, revealing that Styles put the blame on Heyman for Gallows and Anderson being fired.

“Actually the reason was that he was furious that Gallows & Anderson were fired. Blamed Heyman. Classic case of JR/JJ/Laurinaitis syndrome. Vince is the one who made the decision but I suppose he felt Heyman could have fought him on it. So he wanted to go to the side where the guy in charge isn’t fighting Vince on something like that either.

Styles apparently thought Heyman could have fought for the two to stay in the company, but did not. It seems that was enough for him to move to Smackdown.
