AJ Styles was one of the several WWE Superstars who were stuck in Saudi Arabia, following WWE Crown Jewel. Styles had his own opinion regarding the issue.
On his Mixer gaming stream, Styles talked about the recent issues in Saudi Arabia. He says the story has been exaggerated and that there was no cover-up. He detailed what the issue was actually about.
He said that it was due to an issue with paperwork and the person who had to refuel the plane went back home. Styles did think it was odd.
When the plane finally got refuelled, the shift of the pilots had ended and they had to go to sleep. However, it is unknown why the entire thing took 24 hours.
This certainly contradicts previous reports of the issue in Saudi Arabia. WWE’s official statement regarding the issue was due to mechanical issues as well.
