AJ Styles misses Chicago Live Event due to illness

AJ Styles was advertised to face WWE Champion Daniel Bryan at the Chicago WWE Live Event as part of the holiday tour. However, he was nowhere to be seen.

William Green of PWInsider attended the show and revealed that Styles was suffering from the flu and so he missed the event. This was announced by The Miz and Shane McMahon during Miz TV, which started the show.

WWE  then had Mustafa Ali come out and cut a promo leading to a match with The Miz with the stipulation being that the winner would face Bryan. Bryan would interfere in the match and this led to WWE holding a triple threat match for the WWE Championship, where Bryan successfully retained his title.

AJ has also been inactive on social media due to his illness. However, as it is just the flu, AJ will be coming back for in-ring action in a matter of days. After all, he has big things in store for him.
