AJ Styles & others leave Twitch following WWE’s third party rule

WWE issued an order that prevented WWE Superstars from using third party sites such as Twitch and Cameo in order to earn money. Then they issued an order that the Superstars will have to give ownership of their accounts to the company. Now a few Superstars have left Twitch.

AJ Styles officially announced on Discord that he will be leaving Twitch. Mia Yim also revealed she will do the same. Yim, who is now Reckoning in Retribution took to Twitter and announced her decision to leave the platform.

Sorry guys, no more stream for the time being. Thank you for making these past few difficult months manageable. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.

AJ Styles thanked his fans on Twitch for all the great memories. However, he has to suspend his account after WWE made “changes that involve streaming.”

Superstars who handed over their accounts to WWE will have the revenue made from the accounts sent to WWE. They will be given a percentage of the income and it will come out of their downside guarantees.
