AJ Styles plans on making the WWE Intercontinental Championship “phenomenal”

In this week’s episode of SmackDown, AJ Styles won the WWE Intercontinental Championship by defeating Daniel Bryan.

 


 

The title was first vacated by Sami Zayn, who did not risk appearing for the SmackDown tapings due to the massive COVID-19 outbreak.

WWE hosted a tournament to crown a new champion and this Friday night, AJ Styles won his first Intercontinental Championship in an instant classic against Daniel Bryan.

In the aftermath of his historic victory, Styles took to Twitter and reflected on the historic title win.

‘The Phenomenal One’ wrote that he very well knows the value of the Intercontinental Championship and now his focus is to make the IC Title ‘phenomenal’.

It remains to be seen which WWE Superstar steps up as Styles’ first challenger for the Intercontinental Championship.
