According to a report from PWInsider, AJ Styles was pulled from his main event slot at the SmackDown Live event from Tyler, Texas as a “precautionary measure” after hurting his right ankle at Sunday’s Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) event. The show’s main event was changed to a Triple Threat match between Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, and Intercontinental Champ The Miz.
AJ is still scheduled to defend his WWE Championship against James Ellsworth at tonight’s SmackDown from Houston, Texas.
