WWE recently released a promo video of the WWE 365 Network special, featuring the now former WWE Champion and SmackDown Star AJ Styles.
In the video, Styles can be seen talking about his current position in WWE, and according to him, it’s shocking to see where he is in the company currently.
Later in the video, he talks about his debut and during the discussion the former Champion reveals what the Boss Vince McMahon told him before his first match in the company:
“I was anxious, I was worried, what was expected of me, I talked to Vince. He goes, ‘We’ve got guys that can do what you do, that’s not a big deal. I need a pitbull.’ And I thought, ‘Oh! That’s who I am.'”
As we noted before, AJ Styles is currently in negotiation with WWE for a new contract with a lighter schedule. His current contract reportedly expires in April next year, and it’s most likely that he will stay with the company once it expires.
