AJ Styles shares what WWE is doing right during the COVID-19 pandemic

AJ Styles previously revealed that he had tested positive with COVID-19 around a month-and-a-half ago. But fortunately he did not face any troubles with the infection. Styles recovered quickly enough to be back in the ring.

During his latest Twitch stream, The Phenomenal One opened up about his experience with COVID-19 and commended WWE for doing regular tests.

AJ Styles on testing COVID-positive

AJ Styles shared that he had very mild symptoms of COVID-19. He stayed in his basement for the ten days of stipulated quarantine period as per CDC. At the end of the ten days, he was able to get back to work as usual.

“Another thing I need to clarify is with the COVID. I had that like a month-and-a-half ago, whenever it was to the point where the CDC says you have to be quarantined for ten days. I got tested, I went home for ten days, stayed in the basement, was able to go to work because of the scheduling when they had it (TV tapings) next, it was ten days I was able to go back to work.”

Styles shared that his symptoms were so mild that he would not have known he had contracted the virus. It was only for WWE’s regular testing that he could know. Otherwise he might have gone out and possibly spread it to others, Styles said.

“The reason I let you guys know is that I wanted to let you guys know that for some of us it’s not that bad, for some of them it is. I just wanted you guys to know that I had it and that I’m okay – and had I not been tested I never would have never known I had it and I could have spread it, I guess. So, that’s good on WWE’s part for testing everyone, that’s a good thing.”

Styles previously shared that the pandemic situation has given him more time to spend with his family. He has been able to see his kids practice every week. It has contributed to the decision he had already made of quitting WWE after his current contract runs out.
