Aleister Black being considered for main roster

Aleister Black joined NXT back in June 2016. From then and till now, he has had a great run in the brand, having many excellent matches. He had an undefeated streak for a long time and was even able to capture the NXT Championship.

But even after losing the title to Tommaso Ciampa, his stock certainly hasn’t fallen. He has had memorable feuds and matches, with the likes of Johnny Gargano and more.

It seems that he has more things in store for him. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted how he has been hearing Aleister Black being considered for the main roster.

Knowing WWE’s track record with former NXT wrestlers on the main roster, there is a chance of Black having a subpar run there. But he might also make an impact on the main roster if Vince wants to make a star out of him.

He has the looks, an extensive moveset, great gimmick. So he would be a good addition to the main roster. But it is a question of whether Vince will allow Aleister to develop and get over like he was allowed on NXT.

“Knowing WWE’s track record with former NXT Champions on the main roster” .. You should change that line to “Knowing WWE’s track record with former NXT wrestlers on the main roster” as it is not exclusive to former champions.

As with most nxt stars he’s screwed as soon as he goes to the main roster

He’s Tyson Tomko. He’s not that great. He’s an entrance, and that’s about it. Nothing but kicks, and since they all look the same, you can’t even tell which one is his finisher.

All because of a script. If he has good mic skills, good in ring quality, good intuition when it comes to ring-work, if he can stand with the best in NXT and still carry a good show and carry who ever he is with, in ring. If he has the “believable” charisma factor, then yes. Take him to the next level. Just try not to bury another NXT alumni this time around.
