All Elite Wrestling reportedly have two television deals on table

All Elite Wrestling had their Double or Nothing Rally today in Jacksonville, Florida. It was a huge success and the company delivered the major announcements that they promised. However, a television deal was not among the topics of discussion there.

As reported earlier, AEW were reported to have been in talks with Time Warner. However, according to a report from Dave Meltzer, there seems to be another television deal.

On Wrestling Observer Online, Dave Meltzer said that AEW actually has two television deals currently on the table. Here is what he said:

“Obviously there are two deals that are on the table, neither of them are signed. Either of them are strong enough that they probably could be signed pretty quickly. Pretty quickly or at least for TV.”

We will keep you updated as we get to know more about this.

? You mean 1 deal. Time Warner is only 1

I honestly don’t know what network they would work on. WGN is a nothing station. TNT and TBS can’t be trusted. Fox Sports had TNA back in the day, but they have SD now. SyFy had ECW, but they’re part of NBC which has Raw. I guess they could go to Paramount, though I don’ know how wrestling fits in to Paramount’s rebranding. Besides, I’m hoping that Lucha Underground moves to Paramount. If AEW ends up on Pop or Destination America, I think they’re DOA. Neither network did anything to promote Impact and in the case of Pop, had Impact plug the garbage TV that was coming on after Impact.

I implore them: Avoid Time-Warner at all costs.

Time Warner will utterly screw them on the TV deal, if the show isn’t presented the way they want it, they’ll just bury it. They’ll have no creative control.
