All Elite Wrestling reportedly in talks with Time Warner

The Elite set the wrestling world abuzz when they officially announced All Elite Wrestling on Episode 132 of Being The Elite. However, they have a lot to do.

As noted earlier, All Elite Wrestling requires a television deal if they intend to compete with the WWE. It was also reported that AEW has been offered multiple television deals.

According to a report from Rajah, AEW owner Tony Khan will be using his television contacts in order to help the promotion get a television deal. The report also stated that Khan has been in talks with Time Warner. Times Warner is the parent company for TV networks TNT & TBS. This would be a big deal for the promotion.

So we will have to wait and see what deal the promotion finally lands and how it shapes up to be.

Oh, you mean the same Time Warner that wouldn’t give Bischoff a TV slot when he tried to buy WCW, thus living the company officially dead? I’d avoid them if I was AEW.

    You’re dead right on that.

  • Keith Learmonth

Bad idea. Time Warner has repeatedly screwed the wrestling industry.
I guarantee if they signed with Time Warner, they’d basically be told “Give us exactly what WWE is doing”.

  • Whistling Joe

I thought the idiots at Time Warner didn’t want “wrasslin'” on their networks and that’s what ended WCW.
