Romanian authorities on suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group, according to Reuters. According to several reports, a pizza box helped cops narrow in on Tate’s location. Tate had posted a video clip of himself in a Versace robe, smoking a cigar, while an off-camera person hands him two boxes of Jerry’s Pizza, a popular Romanian chain.
It has been noted that his arrest, merely a day after posting the video, could have been due to the pizza boxes, reported 9News. The report stated that the boxes may have helped the Romanian police zero in on his location. The authorities reportedly used the video “as proof he was in the country”, stated a report in The Independent.
In the video a pizza box was visible, which had the name of the company that had made and delivered the Italian delicacy.
Andrew Tate, the controversial influencer, has been ordered by a Romanian court to serve an additional 30 days in prison on charges of organized crime and human trafficking. Along with his brother Tristan and two other suspects, their arrest warrants have been extended for the third time by a court in Bucharest.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged about Andrew Tate’s or his brother’s health concerns, with rumors circulating that they have been rushed to the hospital. According to investigative journalist Cosmina Pricopie, the alleged incident of human trafficking and rape led to their arrest. Tate reportedly alerted the jail doctor about his health issues, which led to a specialist appointment at a Bucharest hospital.
In January, an attorney for the Tate brothers claimed that they had already been taken to a hospital for a medical examination. The attorney stated that Andrew Tate was taken out of the Central Prison of the Capital Police and transported to a hospital for a checkup, as he had reported certain ailments during his incarceration.
“Yesterday he was taken out of the Central Prison of the Capital Police and taken to a hospital because when he was incarcerated,according to the procedures, he was given a medical examination and the prison doctor asked him if he was suffering from certain ailments.”
