WWE’s decision to move forward with their shows despite the coronavirus pandemic has been a topic of criticism among fans and it appears that this is only the start of the controversy.
An anonymous WWE employee named John has submitted some very interesting comments at the Orange County, Florida Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday.
Local reporter Jon Alba has noted that the alleged WWE employee has submitted public comments saying that they are being “forced to work” the WWE shows despite the stay at home orders.
The employee says that he is unable to speak out and he feels that he will be fired from the company if he approaches the higher-ups about the issue.
He adds that despite the sanitary precautions being taken at the Performance Center, the employees are unable to maintain social distancing and they have to touch others. You can check out the full thread from Jon Alba below:

"John" says despite sanitary precautions, they can't maintain social distancing at #WWE tapings, and they have to touch their others. They've requested the government shut down the tapings so everyone can follow social distancing rules without fear of losing their jobs.

As we covered last week, #WWE had initially been ruled a non-essential business in Orange County, and the Orange County Sheriff had been called several times to the Performance Center. Then, an April 9 Executive Order by Gov. DeSantis included it as an essential business.

It is worth saying both #WWE and #AEW have publicly said those who aren't comfortable working these shows do not need to. The WWE statement seems to reiterate that.
