Arnold Schwarzenegger is the greatest of all time in his respective fields. He became a legend in the way he did things, but a slip can always cause a person to fall. Arnold Schwarzenegger learned it the hard way when things about his personal life went public in 2011.
It turns out that Arnold had an extramarital affair with his housekeeper Mildred Baena. The affair and the subsequent birth of a son due to this relationship caused Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver to go their separate ways. The son’s name is Joseph Baena. The news allowed the shutterbugs to look into someone else’s life with an analytical approach and the possibility of getting a rating.
In 2012, during a 60-minute interview, Arnold defended his housekeeper in front of anchor Leslie Stahl. He said:
I don’t think that Mildred was at all into talking. Mildred is a good person. She was not out to get me or to take advantage. It just appeared to me there was something off, that he started looking like me. So that’s when I kind of got it. It was never discussed.Â
But, I mean, I put the things together here. I felt like that I should take on the responsibility of taking care of him and her. And so I started taking care of Joseph financially.It was more that – it will be the wrong thing to do, to let them go.Â
And not make her feel like she’s being punished when I find out that this is my child. I think it was the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship. It was terrible.
The life of anyone can get shattered with an extra-marital relationship, and Arnold’s story confirms it.
Arnold and Maria were a celebrated couple with four children together. The revelation changed things for the actor who saw his partner walk away. Joseph was just 13 years old at that time and knew nothing about what had happened. It’s only years later that he understands the situation and the severity of it.

Joseph was in school at that time, but he made terms with the reality, and now the father-son duo can be seen cycling or clanging the iron in the gym. The story that could have been worse ended on a better note than being bitter.
