Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently called into a homeless shelter in LA to cook for around 500 people. The legendary actor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife recently took to her Instagram account and posted a picture of Grohl cooking for homeless people.
Her caption read:
“I’m sharing this story I saw posted over on @goodnews_movement because we all need this reminder that we can make a difference. I know it feels like there is so much going on in the world, too much sometimes, and that we can’t event make a dent. But it is acts like this from @davestruestories that hopefully remind you that we can all be a healing force in this world. We can all show up in a way that makes a difference. We can all put our best foot forward, use our talents for good, make a difference in someone else’s life, and move humanity forward. I’m sure Dave never imagined that his well honed bbq skills would be used in this way, but that’s being creative, thinking outside the box, and imagining what can be, not what is. We all have that in us, we just need to access it! What is your healing force? The Foo Fighters frontman spent 16 hours on the barbeque at the Hope of the Valley rescue mission cooking up ribs, pork butt and brisket, according to TMZ. This gesture came as a result of major snow storms that were about to hit LA. Hope of the Valley CEO Rowan Vansleve posted a video taken with Grohl, which you can watch below, as part of their mission between Las Vegas and Los Angeles focusing on homelessness.
