Theory(formerly Austin Theory) has received a massive push upon his main-roster call-up. He was immediately put in a storyline with then WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who took him under his wings. He also captured the WWE United States Champion, becoming the youngest to hold to title. He is the Mr. Money In The Bank and he is eyeing to capture the undisputed WWE Universal Championship, currently held by Roman Reigns. However, it seems the company is still grooming him for the main event spot.
WWE is grooming Theory
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that WWE will continue to push Austin Theory under Triple H’s rule.
“Dolph Ziggler is kind of the odd man out because they were gonna run with Ziggler and Theory at all the (house) shows to give Theory… the idea is to give Theory opponents that will give him experience, because Theory is the one that they really want to groom, and it appears Levesque hasn’t done anything to change that. They like the guy – good size, good look, very good athlete, just needs ring work.”
Xero News has reported that plans have changed for Theory. He is likely to be involved in the match between Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship:
“Its changed again 😂😂 yesterday it was said atm plan b is theory cash in and mitb will be for 1 belt.
However if theory wins source has been told he will drop during the draft to someone”
Theory has made a reputation of taking selfies with fellow WWE stars. However, this time around that did not turn out too well for him. He didn’t exactly have a great time at the latest WWE live event in Kingston, as his plan to take a selfie with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus failed. On the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, Johnny Gargano made his epic return and had a segment with his former The Way stablemate in NXT, Theory. The former NXT Champion laid down Theory with a massive superkick to conclude the segment. It seems they are likely to be in a feud soon.
