Chirs Jericho was added and then unexpectedly removed from the Casket match against Undertaker at the Greatest Royal Rumble in the span of a few days and many wondered about the reason behind these changes.
While Rusev’s removal from the bout had been subject to many rumors at the time, so far there was no news on what the company told Jericho about removing him.
According to Wrestling Observer, Jericho had informed Vince McMahon that he will be appearing at the NJPW’s Wrestling Dontaku during the second night of the event.
A couple of hours after this, Chris was informed that the Prince Of Saudi Arabia requested Rusev to be in the match against Undertaker and hence the match card was put back together as it was
Though this explanation doesn’t make sense as the prince wanted older, more familiar talent on the card. While the Undertaker fitted this description, Chris Jericho should have been the first choice for his opponent opposed to Rusev if this was the specific request.
