According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, now-former WWE Universal Champion Goldberg’s WWE deal expired this week. There are currently no plans to bring him back in any capacity, but his run was viewed as a success and the door for a possible return down the road will remain open.
Meltzer stressed a return is still very possibly, but it’d have to be the right money, opponent, and storyline. He did not appear on the televised portion of yesterday’s (Mon. April 3, 2017) Monday Night RAW, but did appear off-air on the WWE Network with his son to say farewell.
