For many, the decision to put Lana in a Women’s Championship match at Money In The Bank was very surprising, considering that she hasn’t even made her on screen in ring debut yet. Now Wrestling Observer may have shed some light on the situation.
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has recycled the plans they originally had for Eva Marie and has put Lana in her place.
While currently, The Ravishing Russian appears to be going into the direction of becoming a top heel in SmackDown roster, the newsletter states that it’s almost a guarantee that she will turn face sooner or later.
Regarding Eva Marie, it’s being said that she is now focusing on her acting career and won’t be returning to WWE in the near future.
It’s worth noting that there were some rumours that Lana will wrestle her first televised match next week on SmackDown Live, though the official WWE website has confirmed that she will make her in-ring debut at Money In The Bank PPV.
